Chapter 8 Anthem

Though my favorite comes later in the book, this is one definitely second on my list when it comes to the realization moments. He sees his face for the first time and it touched me so deeply. To read of a person who was never allowed to look upon himself without some hint of vanity seems so wrong. Once he realizes he is handsome, it almost sounds cute in a certain way, like a dog who sees its reflection for the first time and starts barking at it. This is a symbolic chapter!
